TECH TIP!

Today’s tech tip: With a potentially late start to preseason maintenance, what should I do? To begin, maintenance helps keep your machine healthy, but that doesn’t mean after a 6 month hiatus through the winter that it’s unhealthy. These are the main checks that you really should be doing regularly anyhow (check/add oil, check the air filter, keep the machine clean of debris). The most important thing to start the season is make sure there is not any evidence of a mouse house under your engine shroud/cover. This is very important, because this will quickly overheat and damage your engine. Generally the shroud can be removed fairly easy by loosening or removing a few screws, some even have clean out access holes or covers. A shop vac or compressed air will come in handy to remove debris from hard to access areas. If your unsure of how to do any of this, give us a call or a message, we will do our best to answer your questions.
